The story of environmental stewardship is usually told through international agreements, yet much of the real work is carried out by individuals who show up consistently, year after year.

My cousin Kathrine belongs firmly to this tradition.

She invests her time and energy in removing debris from coastlines and several years ago, through a project led by Uncle Joven and Congressman Barba, she helped regenerate the marine ecosystem in Victoria Beach. It made it to the Sunday edition of the Business Mirror but it is such a long story that I would prefer that you, dear reader, look for it on your own should curiousity strike.

Manang Kath's professional life is rooted in the movement of goods across continents and oceans, but her connection to the sea extends well past logistics.

One could say it is a relationship built on respect, responsibility, and a profound understanding that every ecosystem depends on countless unseen connections.

This is the very spirit of this necklace. At Persephone, we call it Kathrine and the Deep Blue Sea. It is made from gold-plated copper and faux pearls. The pendants are blue zirconia flanked by white zirconia and set in stainess steel covered with 18 karat gold.
